Organisational Profile
Jeevan Jyoti Charitable Foundation is a Pre-Primary School and Day Care Centre for children between the ages of 2.5 - 6 years situated in the Red Light Area of Budhwar Peth, Pune, India. The Medium of instructions are English, Marathi and Hindi and the main aim of the Foundation is to bring hope into the lives of the socially deprived children and women (commercial sex workers) susceptible to exploitation and abuse in the red light area. Through means of education, prepare these children for primary school and put them on par with children from all other levels of society. The Centre serves as a sanctuary for these vulnerable and women where care, nourishment and protection is provided.

Jyoti Charitable Foundation visualizes a society in which peace, justice and
equality prevails, a safe sanctuary where commercial sex workers and their
children have access to education, health care, nourishment, self-respect and
dignity in order to realize their full potential offsetting barriers of caste,
creed, color, language and gender.
Mission:
To empower, rebuild the human dignity, care,
protection from abuse, nourish the poor, marginalized, less fortunate
commercial sex workers and their children.
Our mission is to give education, food, shelter,
emotional and mental wellbeing, promote health and hygiene welfare, awareness
of social rights and dignity, thereby creating a safe environment for these
vulnerable members of society.
